Thank you for your years of continued support.

I am going on a hiatus. There is a cause that requires my efforts, that requires me to pour my heart and soul into it because it is the right thing to do. I don't want to keep you hanging while I try to be in two places at once, so I must step away from my music career for a short time.

Rest assured, the last song of "The Letters of Dr. Kurt Gšdel" is on the way, but it may be a few weeks before I am able to finish it. I ask that in my absence, you continue to discover new music that moves you, music that matters to you. And when that music stirs you to action, I ask that you not fight that urge to chase after what you know to be right, even if it is at a great personal cost. Live a life worth remembering.

The Tour Bus is Broken…

So… I’m definitely not going to stand here with palms out, like the world (or my myspace friends list) owes me a thing. I’m a capable young man. I can go get a job roofing houses, or making cappuccinos.

However, I’ve chosen this profession, and for as long as I can make it work, I’m going to. So, like any businessman would, when there is a crunch, I am taking steps to make ends meet.

See… The tour bus is broken. (“Tour Bus” = 1992 Honda Accord).

The fall tour starts in 17 days, And I need to make approximately $225 in repairs to get it up and running again.

I currently have in stock a handful of the limited-edition “Of Bridges Burned” singles, with the wax seals, signed and numbered. Only 250 of them were made, and there are about 30 left (9 at CDBaby.com, and I have roughly 20).

So, until I’m out of them, I’ll put in one of those, along with one of the “Civil War…” EPs, and some other fun bits and bobs I have around the house in every outgoing T-Shirt order.

I gotta get this car running if I’m going to come see you guys. : )

UPDATE
wow. I can’t even begin to describe how humbled I am by all of this.
Sometimes (usually while watching TV, I should really just stop) I wonder what is going on with humans; Why we can’t get it together and have some consideration for each other. And, while I know that helping me fix my car isn’t going to solve the Darfur crisis or put an end to child abuse… it was still an amazing outpouring of generosity from you guys. I have enough to fix the car – as soon as it clears from my paypal account, I’ll have it up and running.
I can’t even begin to tell you all how much this means. Thank you all so much; from the bottom of my heart. I’ll see you all soon.
